No Sweat Fashions
Nerida recently joined the No Sweat Fashions board as treasurer.
“This new endeavour is aimed at creating meaningful and long-term social change for newly arrived refugees and other migrants in Canberra who face social isolation and barriers to employment and education,” says Nerida.
“By means of its trading activities, No Sweat will address these problems by creating jobs, providing training, facilitating community engagement promoting social inclusion.
No Sweat Fashion will also fill a need for small runs of garments for emerging designers who can’t afford to jump up to a manufacturers run of 1000 garments when they are growing.”
